John Wallingford (located in the Dallas Texas area) is an experienced strategist, confidant and trusted advisor to owners, presidents and senior leadership of small to mid-size companies. He brings over 30 years of successful experience in P&L / General Management and Senior Marketing & Sales leadership roles in highly competitive and rapidly changing technology businesses from Fortune 500 (Pacific Telephone, General Electric, Hughes Tool, and Avery-Dennison) to entrepreneurial settings.
John focuses on executive leadership, strategy development and alignment of expectations/resources/rewards. He also acts as a confidential sounding board to evaluate strategic alternatives and outcomes. Members benefit from John’s clarity, balanced strategic / tactical perspective and experience. As a Texas Vistage Group Chair, Mr. Wallingford leads and facilitates CEO advisory boards for CEOs and is a Chair Excellence Award honoree. He is active in the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Southern California Mentors, Advisors and Coaches group. He was a member of the former Professional Coaches & Mentors Association (PCMA) and served on the board of the Association of Professional Consultants (APC). He was recognized as the SBDC Economic Developer of the Year – 2001 by the SBA and California Trade Technology & Commerce. He graduated with MBA – Marketing from the University of California at Los Angeles, and BS Business Administration – Marketing from Northwestern University. In addition, he participated in numerous advanced management and leadership programs including General Electric and Avery-Dennison.
