One of the most powerful tools and best kept secrets for growing businesses is the use of an Advisory Board. dbkAssociates has formed its advisory board in the same spirit that it indicates to our clients that they should consider such a business advantage for themselves.
You can meet our advisory board members on the pages “below” this page.
And here’s a bit of history from our “old” site, the news release of the incorporation:
“As markets change, your strengths quickly become your weaknesses.”
March 15, 2002 — Dana Point, CA
Senior executives announced today that a new firm was established dedicated to improving management practices for corporations in the Orange County area. dbkAssociates, Inc. in Irvine was founded by Mr. David B. Kinnear and he was joined by several other senior management executives to provide these services.
Change Management Consulting and Business Process Reengineering.
Mr. Kinnear has more than thirty-two years of experience in the high technology business sector with an emphasis on semiconductor products and customers. His experience in this field is both extensive and diverse covering several disciplines including cross-functional change management, business process analysis and improvement, application engineering management, business development, and application of information technology to business needs in supply chain management.
Mr. Kinnear has used his leadership skills to guide business units in several of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers. In those positions, he has successfully improved cash flow through redesigning the business process for non-recurring engineering charges for Application Specific Integrated Circuit design and positioned processes to reduce costs in the supply chain transactions by more than $1.2 Million per year. In the area of application engineering, David successfully integrated the Business Development and Technical Staff for a microcontroller and microprocessor line to provide improved customer service, reduce the levels of management, and increase before-tax-profit of the product line.
In the area of information technology, Mr. Kinnear was instrumental in the cross-functional change management required to implement a customer service oriented supply chain management system for the U.S. based company of the world’s second largest semiconductor manufacturer. This system is widely viewed as the basis for a new global supply chain management system for that corporation.
As CEO of dbkAssociates, Inc., Mr. Kinnear provides Business Development consulting services for a wide variety of organizations including a medical information startup. In addition, Mr. Kinnear’s leadership skills have been applied to the nonprofit world as he currently Chairs the Orange County chapter of a national organization and serves as President for a small not-for-profit organization in Mission Viejo, CA.
